- Comfortable seating: Designed to provide guests with a comfortable position during game drives and longer journeys.
- Seat belts: Provided for passenger safety and should be worn whenever the vehicle is moving.
- Charging facilities: Where available, charging points can help guests keep cameras, phones and other essential devices powered during the safari.
- Cool storage: Vehicles may have facilities for keeping drinking water and refreshments available during game drives.

Comfort during long game drives
A safari can involve several hours of driving, particularly when travelling between national parks or following wildlife across large conservation areas. Our guides plan journeys carefully to balance wildlife viewing, driving time, rest stops and the interests of our guests.
We encourage guests to bring a reusable water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat and any personal items they may need during the day. Keeping frequently used items within easy reach can also make long game drives more comfortable.

Photography from our safari vehicles
Tanzania offers exceptional opportunities for wildlife photography. Our safari vehicles provide multiple viewing positions, allowing guests to photograph animals, landscapes, birds and other aspects of the natural environment.
Guests travelling with larger cameras may wish to bring additional batteries, memory cards, a telephoto lens and a camera beanbag or similar support. Your safari guide can also assist with positioning the vehicle to provide suitable viewing and photography opportunities where conditions and park regulations allow.
Vehicle maintenance and safety
Vehicle safety and reliability are important parts of our safari operations. We carry out regular inspections and maintenance to help ensure that our vehicles remain suitable for safari operations.
Before and during a safari, our team pays attention to essential vehicle components such as tyres, brakes, fluids, lights and other mechanical systems. Our guides are also familiar with the conditions encountered on safari routes and are trained to respond appropriately to common situations that may arise during a journey.
Responsible safari driving
Wildlife protection is an important part of responsible safari tourism. Our guides follow applicable national park and conservation-area rules and encourage respectful behaviour around wildlife.
We avoid unnecessary disturbance of animals, follow designated routes where required and maintain appropriate distances from wildlife. We also encourage guests not to shout at, feed or attempt to attract animals for photographs.

Private and shared safari vehicles
Depending on the safari you choose, you may travel in a private safari vehicle or share a vehicle with other guests.

Shared safari vehicles can be a good option for travellers who want to meet other guests and enjoy a more economical safari experience. In shared vehicles, we encourage all guests to communicate respectfully and consider the comfort and interests of fellow travellers.
