Itinerary

Day 1-Arrival In Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! A representative from African Landscape Adventures will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the opportunity to unwind and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its enormous baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and large concentrations of elephants.

Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive, exploring its diverse landscapes in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions, and other wildlife. During the dry season, the Tarangire River attracts large numbers of animals, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Enjoy a full day surrounded by the beauty of the Tanzanian wilderness before settling into your lodge or luxury camp for the evening.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Full-Day Safari

Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness and enjoy another day exploring Tarangire National Park. Venture deeper into the park’s diverse habitats, where wildlife gathers around water sources and open grasslands.

Your experienced safari guide will help you discover the park’s hidden wildlife treasures and provide fascinating insights into the animals, vegetation, and ecosystems. There will also be opportunities for photography and peaceful moments surrounded by Tanzania’s spectacular landscapes.

As the day comes to an end, return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes you through beautiful highland scenery and local communities before reaching one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders.

Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.

The dramatic crater landscape provides a spectacular setting for wildlife photography and an exceptional safari experience. After the game drive, ascend from the crater and continue to your accommodation.

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you travel across the Ngorongoro highlands and into the Serengeti ecosystem, the landscape gradually changes into vast open plains.

The Serengeti is renowned for its incredible wildlife population and is one of the best places in Africa to experience the drama of the Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Enter the Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive before arriving at your lodge or luxury camp.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Full-Day Safari

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti. Set out after breakfast for a full-day game drive across the endless plains, searching for the park’s extraordinary variety of wildlife.

Depending on the season and location of the herds, your guide will take you to areas offering the best opportunities for wildlife viewing. Expect encounters with elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, and numerous bird species. The Serengeti is also home to Africa’s great predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your exploration. Return to camp in the evening and relax beneath the African sky.

Day 7: Serengeti – Flight to Zanzibar

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar. This marks the transition from the African wilderness to the tropical paradise of the Indian Ocean.

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your beach accommodation. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your safari, enjoying the warm tropical atmosphere, beautiful coastline, and peaceful surroundings.

Day 8-11- Zanzibar – Tropical Beach Escape

Wake up to the beauty of Zanzibar and enjoy a relaxed day at your beach resort. Spend your time swimming in the turquoise waters, relaxing on the white-sand beach, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

For those seeking additional experiences, optional activities can be arranged, including snorkeling, diving, kayaking, sunset cruises, or a traditional dhow boat experience.

Day 12: Zanzibar – Stone Town Cultural Experience

After breakfast, leave the beach behind and travel to Stone Town, the historic heart of Zanzibar. Explore its atmospheric narrow streets, historic buildings, bustling markets, and fascinating cultural heritage.

Visit important landmarks and discover the influence of African, Arab, Indian, and European cultures that have shaped Zanzibar over centuries. You may also explore the famous Zanzibar markets and browse for traditional crafts, spices, textiles, and souvenirs.

Enjoy your final evening in Zanzibar surrounded by the unique atmosphere of Stone Town.

Day 13: Zanzibar – Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast in Zanzibar before your scheduled transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your onward flight.

Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time to enjoy Stone Town or relax at your accommodation before heading to the airport.
