We specialize in tailor-made safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro trekking, cultural tours, and beach holidays across Tanzania and East Africa. Our operations are conducted in accordance with all relevant tourism laws, licensing requirements, and regulatory frameworks. By booking with us, you are entering into a contractual relationship with African Landscape Adventures as your service provider.
2. When These Terms Apply
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made directly with African Landscape Adventures or through any of our authorized partners, agents, or third-party platforms. By confirming a booking, making a payment, or participating in any of our tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms. These conditions define the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both the client and the company.
3. Our Warranties and Commitments
We guarantee that all our tours are operated with the highest level of professionalism, safety, and ethical responsibility. Our guides, drivers, and staff are trained and experienced in their respective roles. We are committed to sustainable tourism practices, including environmental conservation, fair treatment and wages for our staff, and support for local communities. All information presented in our marketing materials is accurate to the best of our knowledge, and we strive to deliver services exactly as described.
4. Personal Information
To effectively organize your travel experience, we collect certain personal information including your full name, nationality, passport details, dietary preferences, and any relevant medical conditions. This information is necessary for booking accommodations, securing permits, and ensuring your safety during the trip. All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is only shared with relevant service providers when necessary.
5. Communication
All official communication between you and African Landscape Adventures must be conducted through our verified communication channels, including our official email addresses, phone numbers, and website platforms. We strongly advise clients to avoid engaging with unverified third parties claiming to represent our company. We are not liable for any losses resulting from fraudulent communications outside our official channels.
6. Booking and Payment
Your booking is confirmed once we receive the required deposit payment. A detailed invoice will be issued outlining the payment schedule. The remaining balance must be paid within the agreed timeframe before the start of your tour. All payments must be made in full, and any bank charges, transaction fees, or currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the client. Failure to complete payments on time may result in cancellation of your booking.
7. Pricing
All tour prices are confirmed at the time of booking and are generally fixed. However, in rare cases where government-imposed fees such as park entry fees, taxes, or levies increase after your booking, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly. In such situations, you will be informed promptly and given the option to proceed or cancel in accordance with our cancellation policy.
8. Changes to Itinerary
While we strive to follow the planned itinerary, certain circumstances such as weather conditions, road accessibility, safety concerns, or operational requirements may necessitate changes. We reserve the right to modify itineraries when necessary for the safety and comfort of our clients. Any significant changes will be communicated as early as possible. Client-requested changes may incur additional costs.
9. Changes to Travel Dates
If you wish to change your travel dates after confirming your booking, you must notify us in advance. Date changes are subject to availability and may involve additional costs, especially if they affect accommodation, flights, or seasonal pricing. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
10. Cancellations
If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees will apply depending on how close the cancellation is to the departure date. These fees help cover costs already incurred, such as hotel reservations and park permits. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with our cancellation policy. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.
11. Travel Documents and Visa
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid travel documents, including a passport with sufficient validity and necessary visas for entry into Tanzania. You must also comply with any immigration and health requirements. We provide general guidance, but we are not responsible for any issues arising from incomplete or invalid documentation.
12. Accommodation
Accommodation is provided as specified in your itinerary. In cases where the listed accommodation is unavailable, we will arrange a comparable alternative of similar standard. Room arrangements are typically based on shared occupancy unless otherwise requested and confirmed.
13. Fitness and Medical Conditions
You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and medically fit to participate in your chosen tour. Certain activities, such as mountain trekking, require a good level of fitness. You must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your ability to travel safely. We reserve the right to decline participation if a condition poses a risk.
14. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. Your policy should cover medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, and other travel-related risks. For high-altitude trekking, coverage must include evacuation services. Failure to obtain proper insurance may result in denial of participation without refund.
15. Vaccinations
We recommend consulting a qualified healthcare provider regarding vaccinations and health precautions required for travel to Tanzania. Requirements may vary depending on your country of origin and travel history.
16. Authority of Guides
During your tour, the decisions of our guides and tour leaders are final, especially in matters concerning safety, health, and itinerary adjustments. Clients are expected to follow all instructions provided by our staff.
17. Assumption of Risk
By participating in our tours, you acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to wildlife encounters, altitude sickness, and remote locations. You accept full responsibility for these risks and agree that African Landscape Adventures is not liable for incidents arising from such inherent risks.
18. Client Liability
You are responsible for any damage caused to company property, equipment, or third-party facilities during your tour. Any costs associated with damages must be settled before departure.
19. Third-Party Services
Some components of your trip may be provided by third parties such as airlines, hotels, or activity providers. While we carefully select our partners, we are not responsible for their actions, omissions, or service quality.
20. Personal Expenses
Clients are responsible for personal expenses not included in the tour package, such as tips, beverages, souvenirs, and optional activities.
21. Equipment and Gear
Personal equipment is generally not included unless specified. Rental gear is available upon request. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate gear for their activities.
22. Luggage and Valuables
We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trip. Clients are advised to keep valuables secure at all times.
23. Images and Marketing
During your tour, photos and videos may be taken for promotional purposes. By participating, you consent to the use of such media unless you explicitly opt out in advance.
24. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, or extreme weather conditions.
25. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your tour, please report it immediately to your guide or contact our office. We will make every effort to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.
26. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
