The summit trek begins at night from Kibo Hut (4,720 m / 15,482 ft), heading towards Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,336 ft). While the trail is moderately challenging, the high altitude makes each step more strenuous. Each climber will be paired with a personal guide to monitor their stamina and mental state during the ascent. After reaching Uhuru Peak, you can visit the nearby glacier before descending back to Kibo Hut for a two-hour rest. The trek then continues with a descent to Horombo Hut (3,720 m / 12,202 ft).
Important Note:
Most climbing accidents occur during descent, including injuries to arms, legs, and toenails. Be cautious of your footing to ensure a safe journey.
