After breakfast, we descend into this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of Africa’s seven wonders, formed three million years ago. The crater, 610 meters deep and spanning 260 square kilometers, is home to around 25,000 ungulates. It’s a prime spot for game viewing, with wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and elephants, plus over 500 bird species. If we’re lucky, we may spot the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we’ll head back to Karatu and stay at one of our quality mid-range partner lodges.

Day 1-Arrival In Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! A representative from African Landscape Adventures will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the opportunity to unwind and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!

Day 2-Tarangire National Park
In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your accommodations in Arusha. We’ll begin our journey towards Tarangire National Park, traveling through the picturesque Maasai plains, dotted with iconic acacia trees. Along the way, we’ll encounter Maasai people in vibrant attire, walking, cycling, herding cattle, and guiding donkey carts, offering a glimpse into their traditional way of life.

Day 4-Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park, our final destination. This diverse park, located 120 km west of Arusha, is named for the shallow salt lake covering about 70% of its area. The lake, which floods and dries seasonally, is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species. While exploring, we may spot monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and possibly lions lounging in trees. Known for its varied landscapes, the park features grassy plains and primate-filled woodlands. After a memorable game drive, we return to Arusha in the late afternoon, filled with unforgettable images of the African wilderness
