After breakfast, we descend into this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of Africa’s seven wonders, formed three million years ago. The crater, 610 meters deep and spanning 260 square kilometers, is home to around 25,000 ungulates. It’s a prime spot for game viewing, with wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and elephants, plus over 500 bird species. If we’re lucky, we may spot the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we’ll head back to Karatu and stay at one of our quality mid-range partner lodges.
After a memorable game drive, we return to Arusha in the late afternoon, filled with unforgettable images of the African wilderness
